Dately ("Dately", "we", "us", or "our") operates the Dately dating application and the Dately Show. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using Dately, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information so the app can work and to keep our community safe:

• Account information: your name, email address, phone number, password (stored encrypted), date of birth, and gender.
• Profile content: photos, bio, interests, and dating preferences you choose to provide.
• Verification: a selfie you submit for photo verification, which is used to confirm you are a real person.
• Location: your approximate or precise location (with your permission) to show nearby people and suggest date venues.
• Activity: your likes, matches, messages, group outings, and any blocks or reports you make.
• Device & technical data: device model, a push-notification token, IP address, and how you interact with the app.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide and personalise the service — show you compatible people nearby and enable matching and chat.
• Verify identity and keep the community safe — including automated photo moderation and face verification.
• Send notifications you ask for, such as new matches, messages, and important updates.
• Prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our Terms, and comply with legal obligations.
• Understand and improve how the app works.

3. Location Data

Dately uses your location to show nearby people and suggest venues for dates. You can turn location off in your device settings at any time, but some features (such as nearby discovery) will not work without it.

4. How We Share Information

With other users: your profile (photos, name, bio, and similar details) is shown to other users as part of the dating service. We never share your exact location, contact details, or messages with other users.

With service providers who process data on our behalf, under contract and only as needed to run the app:

• Cloud storage for your photos (DigitalOcean Spaces).
• Photo moderation and face verification (Amazon Web Services Rekognition).
• Push notifications (Google Firebase Cloud Messaging).
• Maps and venue discovery (Google Maps).
• Email delivery (SendGrid).

For legal and safety reasons: when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the public.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to keep certain records (for example, to comply with the law or to prevent fraud).

6. Your Rights and Choices

You can access and update your profile information in the app at any time. You may also request to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and you can control notification and location permissions through your device settings.

7. Deleting Your Account

You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Settings → Account → Delete account), or by emailing info@datelyshow.mn from your registered email address. Deleting your account removes your profile, photos, messages, and matches.

8. Children's Privacy

Dately is intended only for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that a user is under 18, we will remove their account and data.

9. Security

We protect your data with industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls. Passwords and sensitive credentials are stored encrypted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be stored and processed on servers located outside your country. Where this happens, we take steps to ensure your data remains protected in line with this policy.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "Effective Date". Your continued use of Dately after changes means you accept the updated policy.
